About me

As an ex-zookeeper, mad horse lady and lover of dogs and all other animals, I provide catered services to care for your pets and livestock in your home. Whether you have reactive dogs, bad-tempered parrots, moody mares and complicated reptile or aquarium set-ups
– please get in touch - all will be considered!

I have worked with a wide variety of domestic and exotic animals, in both personal and commercial settings. I am a keen horse rider and used to compete at show-jumping to about 106cm (3'6") with my own ponies as a teenager. I have ridden and loaned a variety of ponies and horses in recent years.

I am interested in dog training and behaviour and have dabbled in competitive rally training. I have previously owned a reactive dog and I am happy to consider working with dogs that have behavioural challenges. I am particularly fond of sighthounds and therefore experienced in managing dogs with a high prey drive or questionable recall! One of my favourite things is getting out on long walks in the countryside with my dog.

Animal health and welfare are very important to me and my approach to animal care is always centred on this. I engage in force-free training with my own animals. My mantra is: when in doubt, try to always choose kindness.
